What is a good idea for trade show displays?

What is a good idea for trade show displays? I have been tasked to make the layout and get pictures for our trade show displays at work. I am not really sure if I should just get pictures printed out of our equipment or what. Anyone who has ever been to a trade show could you please give me some insight as to what would make a good attractive display. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

A little more detail to all this, I will be using a panel table display. It has four panels and my boss just wants pictures of our equipment in action to put up on the panels where as I think a graphic design type layout to place over the fabric would be more appealing. He could still put pictures on the laminated graphic background but I think it will add depth. Does anyone have any experience in actually coming up with layouts or background for their displays? I appreciate all your inputs, they are all helpful!! :) You can buy images there (or license technically) on all different themes for only a few dollars.

Also on this - if you don%26#039;t have strong design skills I would strongly suggest you get a graphic designer to do your layout for your posters or other display- otherwise the end result may be quite poor.

2) I would strongly suggest against just printing out posters yourself. You will get a much better result with professional displays. This can vary from anything from professionally printed posters to full 3D stands. Really how far you go will depend on your budget. You don%26#039;t have to spend a LOT, but if you go really tight and do it yourself the result won%26#039;t be very impressive - it really is a job best left to those with professional equipment.
