How does a creditor post items to your credit report? I live in Arkansas and I recently bought some property from a used car dealer in Texas. I paid on time every month and when I had extra to pay, I paid it. I had it financedfor 5 years but I paid it off in 3 years. The property was over $12,000.00. How can I get this information reported to the credit bureaus as I am trying to purchase a new home this fall and I really need the extra points on my credit report?

Best Answer

Creditors have to be subscribers to the credit bureau%26#039;s service in order to report. However, they are not required to report.

  • Ask this person to report this information to the credit bureau.
  • It will only report to your credit file if the dealer or whom ever serviced the loan reports. GMAC, Ford Chrysler Nissan and most banks Toyota etc all report
