    • Wow. You ask a lot of questions.

I used to have bad credit. Now, bad credit comes in 2 forms.

Having good credit affects you in many ways. From a self-esteem standpoint you feel good about yourself because you feel more in charge of your life. You sleep better at night because you aren%26#039;t worried whether you can afford to make your payments. or buy groceries, or get your car fixed. It can allow you to buy a home instead of rent one. It allows you to buy nicer cars for the same payments (lower interest rates). It%26#039;s an all around high you just can%26#039;t imagine!

My advice for someone with GOOD credit is to keep up the good work! Keep your credit cards to a minimum and don%26#039;t keep money in savings for emergencies.

My advice for someone with BAD credit is to start right now fixing it! It might take some time but if you don%26#039;t start now it will never get done at all! Procrastination will kill you! Also - if you have the ability to save SOMETHING for emergencies each month try to. Starting on the path to saving empowers you and gives you a sense of confidence.

      3. Send out all your disputes by certified mail and keep records of all correspondences.( I used the above method and had 3 collections removed of transunion and two of equifax. My score for trans. went up 75 point and eq. went up 50. Still waiting for experian.)
      4. You also need to get a couple of credit building cards. Like orchard or first premier. And pay them every month to build up a positive trade line. You do not want to ever be late with these or utilize more than 30% of total available credit. http://creditcardwarehouseonline.com has both those cards.
As for the perks I recieved after my score rose compared to my score before I disputed. Well I applied for a car loan 6 month ago and got approved (capital one) for a loan with an interst rate of 16.9%. I just reapplied recently and got approved for another loan at 10.9%. I also just got a citi credit card with a limit of 2000$ with no yearly or monthly fees. Before I had cards with limits of 300$ with 50$ yearly fees, 7.95 monthly maitnence fees, then another fee to pay online. Also changed my insurance and save about 40%. So you can see these are just some of the advantages. Good credit is a must!
