He is protecting himself. If one of you defaults he become liable. Co-signers are in a tough spot, he has to be sure that your going to pay the rent otherwise it becomes his problem. He was nice enough to co-sign with you, show him his trust in you is justified.Other Answers (3)

I%26#039;m not lawyer or real estate agent, but it does not seem that unreasonable to me. If you were getting a loan from a bank or car insurance (for example) they would want to see your credit report too.
I suppose he just wants to make sure he%26#039;s not cosigning for someone who is going to trash the place and get stuck with a bunch of bills. I would probably black any sensitive information though (like social security number if it%26#039;s listed on the report). -
I personally think he has the right to since he is going to co-sign for the apartment but i would not give it to him just let him look at it. The reason why is he could misplace it and it has all of your information on it. Otherwise I believe it is fair for him to see what you have and your behavior patterns.
