I dont consider iraq a war still, yes we do have troops there but it is more of a rebuilding an infrastructure so they can stand on their own I mean we do have troops in korea still as well as germany( they%26#039;ve been there since WWII) Dont get me wrong i dont agree with the %26quot;war%26quot; but i also think we are committed now.As far as the ecconomy rebounding like in ww2 it is not the same situation because the reason the econ rebounded is because the gov stepped in a took over private sectors and put all resources to help fight the war. (thats a true war, when all of the citizens are united and working toward a similar cause)
I dont know how to explain what a security is but a mutual fund is an arrangement of stocks in a similar sector usually that is diversified and usually a less risky investment. I recommend mutal funds for people who want to invest $ for 10 years or less or for people who are over 50. if you are under 50 and want to invest long term pick a strong stock ie. GE and let it sit for like 14 years ( the median amt of time for a stock to double) this is much more volitile than a mutual fund but not as risky as a penny stock (stocks under 5 $) that have high levels of risk but large rewards are possible ie. ngen
