yes, i%26#039;ve worked for two state farm agents %26amp; 1 allstate.once p %26amp; c licensed %26amp; L %26amp; h licensed Base pay was 27000 (avg $14.07 an hr) and then commission on whatever u produce. For example if u produce 25 vehi, 3 life, 3 health, 1 mutual fund, avg commission $1000 a month. which means if u met ur goal monthly u can easily make 40,000 a year.
U have to b aggressive in this field though, with so many competitors, also consistent.
2nd agent base pay 24000 + avg 500 commission monthly
allstate- base pay 11 an hr plus 5% on premium; life different and 1% renewal on all business u produce I have worked with 4 different ins. companies as sales.

i work @ state farm. my starting rate once licensed in insurance in all 4 lines of insurance (auto, home, life, health) is $10/hour. that is my guarentee pay. then i make comission on what i produce. i get $10 for every application that is auto, home, renters, ect.. for special liability policies i get $15. i get 2 months premium on life and health policies.
state farm also has a bank, any bank products i sell such as car loans, i get $25 for.
now im just a staff member, i dont know what an actual agent who runs the office makes, but it must be nice cause i sure am not complaining!
