You could apply for a short-term temporary insurance policy. these are available from Blue Cross, Humana, Assurant. Just check their websites.
Since you know you will be going on a group policy in a year, this would be an economical choice. Short term policies are cheaper because when the term is over it is over whether you are in the middle of a claim or not. But if you are getting picked up by a group policy the short term would be credible coverage and the new insurance would start paying the claim. 67% 2 Votes

  • Well, you can buy your own policy, through a local, independent agent.

  • No - you might check on getting an individual policy for that year. Its not cheap by better than getting caught uninsured with major medical expenses. 0% 0 Votes
  • Maybe you could apply for some type of public aid. 0% 0 Votes
