A Question About UnEmployment Insurance? I live in Michigan. Who ultimately decides whether or not you collect it??? Does your former employer have a say in it, or is it entirely up to the State???

Best Answer

You file, the state notifies your employer and gives them a chance to contest. If they contest, a state employee will look at their reason for contesting, and make the decision. agent, 21+ years
